UA: 10.02.2010 · Theater Bonn · Directed by: Stefan Heiseke
A foreign country. A house in the mountains. Stillness, isolation. Three German soldiers, on a mission of discovery, have taken refuge here. Their car has broken down; they are stuck. Their mission is clear: they are to secure peace in the country, make democracy possible, build up new structures. But the longer their current situation lasts, the more troubling things come to light—things which actually have no place in military life and which endanger their mission. The tensions and desires become stronger—until the situation finally escalates.

Lothar Kittstein has written a play about the German relationship to war, to everything foreign, to the threat of terrorism, and last but not least, to their own country….
