Noah, Niemand und der Gelbbauchkormoran
Für Kinder ab 5 Jahren
2 Darsteller, Für 2 Schauspieler und 1 Segelschiff
UA: 03.03.2017 · Theater Marabu, Bonn · Directed by: Tina Jücker, Claus Overkamp
Suddenly, it starts raining. It’s bucketing down! One week. Two weeks. Bathtubs full of the stuff. A deluge. The next day, the sun rises. Everywhere, all you can see is water, right to the horizon. When the great rains came, Noah saved himself and the animals aboard a ship. Now they are bobbing around on the vast ocean. Endless, dead calm. Thousands of animals of every kind are cooped up under the deck. Overhead, noisy birds are flying around and covering everything with crap. There’s no land in sight. Only owl poo, guts and castings as far as the eye can see. But Noah and the animals aren’t alone after all… a stowaway has snuck on board! There’s bound to be scolding and squabbling.
“It’s about the burning problems of world politics: flight, displacement, pollution, and the power of the mightier. It’s a difficult balancing act to portray such existential topics for children in a way that they can understand and that entertains them.” (Bonner Rundschau)
Lothar Kittstein wrote this play under commission from “Nah dran! Neue Stücke für das Kindertheater”, a cooperation between the Kinder- und Jugentheaterzentrum in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland and the Deutschen Literaturfonds e.V., with assistance from the Bundesbeauftragter für Kultur und Medien.
