On a late summer afternoon, a confused man enters an office on the 5th floor – allegedly, he is being followed. Panicked, he forces the only person present to help him out of the precarious situation, to save him from his pursuers, and in any case, to close the door immediately.

Now they are alone: two men, Paul, the seemingly forgotten employee, and his "captor," who can not explain the reason he is being followed. But Paul reveals himself to be an unconventional hostage, even pretending to have waited a long time for his captor. At last his waiting seems to have been fulfilled: someone is looking for him, and gives his existence new meaning. He gives the panicked guest an insight into this existence, which up until this point has hardly attracted notice. A 50-year-old forgotten person in a huge administrative building who, as he pretends, supports himself almost exclusively on chocolate, cares for his undefinable catarrh and writes sporadically to Singapore. This continues until the next morning.
Singapore might offer the salvation sought by the intruder, whom Paul, since he does not want to give up his identity, calls "Alex". He suggests that "Alex" cut off one of his limbs with a knife, prepare it, and - if necessary - eat it.
Since Paul is sure that the office in which he has spent decades of his life is being watched by cameras, the thought of staging the whole situation for the media does not seem far-fetched.
