A house in the woods, far away from the city. Once, it was a popular destination for winter outings and full of life. But snow hasn’t fallen here for a long time. It’s been years since the last guest. A woman comes to visit the man who owns the house. He has grown old, and he is losing strength. Every fiber in his body fights back—he was always a man who got what he wanted, and now he is the one who needs help. The woman wants to take care of him. She has taken a sabbatical from her work and has come to help him, she says. She brings a girl with her, nearly a young woman. She is lovely, but something isn’t quite right. Is she her daughter? Or perhaps her lover? A strange tension is in the air. An erotically charged game begins, a play with love, power, dependency, and the wounds of the past.

This new play by Lothar Kittstein is a psycho-thriller that takes place on the thresholds of life, in a place where the dimensions of truth and deception, present and past, reality and dream, and death and life melt together. (Announcement Schauspiel Bonn)
