A night in Paris. A German engineer prepares for the most important meeting of his career in his hotel – and he is robbed. The nighttime chase of the female thief leads him into shady areas, far away from the bright centre of the city. To overcome the trauma of her divorce, a German teacher comes to Paris, she gets on the wrong bus in the search for her hotel and is stranded in one of the desolate outer suburbs.
Two strangers on an adventurous, tragic-comic odyssey through a night full of dangers – and full of music. The classic chansons by Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel sung live accompany them on their way through the city of love which for both of them also becomes a way to find themselves.
