"Meier is a brain researcher. He knows everything about its illnesses, and something about its spirit. Meier has studied 40 years’ worth of brains, has held them in his hands, cut them up, photographed them, disposed of them. Meier has a feeling for the brain, loves and hates it. He dreams of the brain and wants to forget it again. But Meier is becoming more and more helpless. His own brain does not do what Meier wants anymore. His body does not do what Meier wants, his colleagues do not do what Meier wants, the world does not do what Meier wants. Meier will die, Meier will decay, and all that Meier can do is observe this decay, remember this decay, communicate this decay. We are going to tell this story."

The director and author Andreas Liebmann develops an evening for four actors and two musicians based on a one-year encounter with a terminally ill neurologist.

"The resulting text is a strong piece of literature on the relationship of man to his brain. The key sentence states that evolution has overwhelmed the human being with his own brain and that the brain is not designed to live as long as medical devices allow. The result is a planet full of dementia. "(Nachtkritik)
