“i had explained to her what would happen, i had talked to many. the lock, the narrow corridors, the cameras, the revolving doors, one after the other, and you only hear your own noises, your own breath. and waiting. first of all waiting. at some point people wearing a uniform behind glass, fingerprints, papers. no one says a word, hand gestures, head gestures, light gestures. and everything feeds your insecurity, you hesitate, feel your heart beat, censor your thinking, anticipate your flinching, the first hit. and suddenly you’re spat out, standing in the dust outside. and it is hot.”

That’s the beginning of a scene. Sister and brother. They are talking about their mother. The sister wanted to cross the border with her? The mother had to stay behind? Memories, trying to explain… and many questions, not only about the past.
Another scene: a man and a woman. They know each other, but haven’t seen each other for a while. Then they talk about his mother. Another try to remind one another and oneself, a search for explanations… and many questions. “it’s easier to lie while walking” – a conclusion?
And someone sings a song.
