They want to leave Hannover, as soon as possible. Lily wants to go to Peru to build Children’s Villages. Kati wants to go to Hamburg and become an actress. Ivan wants to study and invent a machine which produces energy without any costs. Mike, on the other hand, wants to stay and become the godfather of the Steintor. Preferably today.
Lily and Mike are a couple, but why? Lily doesn’t know anymore. She doesn’t even really get along with her friend Kati anymore. Ivan and Mike, best friends for ages, feel the same way. Nothing fits together anymore. But how does one escape? And when will one’s own life finally begin?
Urbanstories originated from a project with teenagers, first performed in March of 2005 at Schauspiel Hannover.
The play aptly and unsentimentally tells us about the desires and fears of young people searching for their own way. In Hannover and everywhere.
