In the play about rules, prohibitions and the question, why not?, three to five players hopefully engage with the unwritten laws of children's everyday lives. They act out, turn things around, look at general social ideas about being a child, being a girl, being a boy and – where the text, with the necessary openness for collective development processes, invites it – also at what they themselves have learned. Always with the question: Why not, actually?
The play and the production were funded as part of 'Nah Dran! New plays for children's theatre, a cooperation project between the Children's and Youth Theatre Centre in the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Literature Fund with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
