Jan Peter Bremer

Jan Peter Bremer was born in Berlin in 1965, spent most of his childhood near the inner German border and returned to Berlin after his school years to stay. As early as 1987, Bremer published a first volume of short texts. His novel Einer der auszog das Leben zu ordnen followed in 1991. In 1996, Jan Peter Bremer won the prestigious Ingeborg-Bachmann-Award for his novel Der Fürst spricht, the stage version of which S. Fischer represents. The author has also dramatised his novel Feuersalamander which was published in 2000.
