Anaïs Clerc

Anaïs Clerc (*in Fribourg, Switzerland). Lots of cows, too little of everything. Attempts to study teaching and social education / everyone wants to be something, Anaïs found it exhausting just to be. She then worked as an assistant (including at the Maxim Gorki Theater) and on various theatre education projects in the independent scene in Bern. Her focus was on theatre for, by and with people with disabilities. Anaïs ran youth clubs and took on a mediating role in projects for young people with a migrant background and refugees. She developed two projects (direction and text) at the Junge Bühne Bern. Anaïs Clerc then completed a BA in Creative Writing. Since February 2020, she has been studying dramatic writing at the Berlin University of the Arts with spells at the Swiss Literature Institute. For three years, her texts have been performed at venues including the Vagantenbühne Berlin, the Nachtasyl at the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Autor:innentheatertage at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. In the 2022/2023 season, in addition to her training at the UdK, she completed the Dramenprozessor support programme at Theater Winkelwiese and co-created the play befristet / für immer (temporary / forever) with director Tanju Girisken. In the coming season, Anaïs Clerc will write the fourth episode of the project Im Taumel des Zorns (In the Frenzy of Anger) for the ITZ Tübingen and is a resident writer at the Schauspiel Bern. Anaïs lives in Berlin and Bern and enjoys working in collaborative processes and on play development.
