Bärbel Stöckle was born in Landau/Pfalz in 1964, she studied acting from 1985 to 1988 in Karlsruhe. In 1989 she began studying German literature at the Freie Universität in Berlin where she co-founded the children's theatre "Theater Ast" afterwards. Bärbel Stöckle lives in Berlin
