After studying German literature, theatre and comparative religious studies at the universities of Basel and Berne, Thomas Guglielmetti started working as a director before collaborating with Andreas Kriegenburg in a production of Katzelmacher by R.W. Fassbinder at the Theater Basel. In the following, he worked as a dramaturg and member of the artistic management at the theatres in Stuttgart, Graz and Mainz.
