Janis Klasing was born in Hannover in 1984. As a very young man, he participated in the writers’ workshop of the Deutsche Schauspielhaus Hamburg, where his debut play
Nicht nichts was written. In 2003 he took part in the World Interplay Festival for Young Playwrights, Townsville, Australia, with this play, as well as in the Authors’ Workshop at the Burgtheater, Vienna. Jannis Klasing lives in Berlin.
