Mona Winter

Mona Winter lives in Munich as a freelance author. A number of her plays deal with war and the absurdities of human relations. Many of her characters are people without a thick skin in a twisted and brutal world. Creatures beside themselves, socially discarded who grasp the spirit of our times as strangers. Her oeuvre encompasses literary texts, radio and theatre plays, film scripts and essays which have appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies. For the feature film Eisfeuer she received the Script Advancement Award of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Munich Literature Prize.
