England in the fairytale Middle Ages. Robin of Locksley, the king's niece, lives a carefree princess's life. But that is soon to change: the dark Guy Gisborne, a Norman prince, overthrows the king and takes power. Overnight, the Saxons become second-class citizens. Robin must flee to avoid being taken hostage by the new ruler. Her only hope is the legendary Robin Hood. Years ago, he retreated to the forest of Sherwood. He promised that he would return when the country needed him. Princess Robin sets out to find her namesake. On her journey, she meets the pickpocket Mario and a mysterious monk, fights her way through the forest and confronts her adversaries.
