The play is set in an old people’s home, in this “cemetery of the outcasts”, where lonely old people, abandoned, wait for death in loneliness and desolation. But 75-year-old Karl doesn’t feel like dying at all and has the hots for Guggi, even if her skin has wrinkles.
The lingerie he gives her as a Christmas present is well received. A passionate love, the wild era of sweet anarchy, begins. They run away, go dancing in the disco, steal alcohol in the supermarket, get carried away and are caught again.
But in this fairy-tale-like folk play nothing seems impossible, not even Guggi becoming pregnant. And in this marvellous fashion, the dream of a new life begins once again.
