A dragon has settled on the tower block where eight-year-old Thomas lives with his mother. It was suddenly there one morning. Now you can hear it crunching and cracking everywhere. A low hum makes the house shake. Dust and plaster fall from the ceiling. That's why so many people have already moved away. It could be quite lonely and depressing if it weren't for Mino – Thomas's little giant and room-mate. What he lacks in height, Mino makes up for in loyalty and friendship. Both are teased by their classmates and have to hold their own in a world that has forgotten them. Can the two of them manage to protect their home from the dragon? It's a good thing that Ewa, Thomas's friend, is going dragon hunting with them. The three of them might just stand a chance.
Au revoir, little giant is a plea for friendship and solidarity in times when everything seems grey and hopeless. The play weaves fantasy and social issues such as child poverty and classism into an empowering piece for a young audience.
