HE bought himself a chain saw with his girlfriend’s last pennies. And then the play begins. We see him: in the costume and mask of Leatherface from the film "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre", HE tries out the saw. SHE bursts in, hurls bitter accusations, to which he replies just as loudly and bitterly. This brings in the neighbors, who complain about the noise and call the police. The house is surrounded, as the police assume that HE is holding HER against her will. In the meantime, however, the couple have reconciled themselves and are taking advantage of the strange situation. Someone asks for beer, and the police supply it. Blackout. Night falls. The next morning, what started as a game ends in bloody earnest. In the belief that the police have disappeared, HE disappointedly sticks his head too far out of the window - Shot.
Leatherface is a contemporary play full of gloomy imagination that leaves little space for any other perspective. It shows how a relationship and a society play a major role in the escalation of violence.
