A small town rehearses Carmen, the musical, an open-air spectacle. It has been written by the poetically inspired policeman Hannes, who moves with emotion between his childhood love Marie and a Ukrainian shoe seller, his Carmen. The work is staged by headmaster Venzke, with the help of assistant director Leonhard of the Philately store. And the actors are none other than Anecdote-Karl and his Kati, who really know what love is. The preparations are in full swing, the premiere is imminent. Just as long as it doesn’t rain!
