It's the first day back after the summer holidays. Between long jump trials, listening comprehension tests and hopes for a personal enemies-to-lovers plot twist, everyone is excitedly navigating the poorly mopped school corridors. In the midst of it all, unlikely twins Sam and Gabriel are looking for their classroom. The two series fanatics have just moved with their father from California to a small coastal town in Schleswig-Holstein.

As every year, the school administration has a few announcements to make at the start of the year. To encourage the students to take initiative, a competition is announced: 100,000 euros for the best performance by a project group. The twins sense their chance. They have been working on their breakthrough in the film business since they were born, but so far they have always lacked the production budget. They want to win the money with the pilot episode of their own series and quickly form a club, which is soon joined by two like-minded people. But the newcomers also have spectacular ideas about what a series launch could look like. What's more, the rest of the school also has its eyes on the prize.
