The play takes place in an elegant villa in Cornwall. The former entrepreneur, Henry Campbell, lives there with his childhood friend Ronnie and the housekeeper Alice, an attractive woman in her mid-forties, in a shared accommodation.

From time to time Henry receives visits from his daughter and her husband, with whom he has not exactly had the best relationship for years.
Part of his life's elixir are the daily teasing sessions with his roommate Ronnie and every now and then a little flirt with Alice.
He has to save her from a great stupidity by trying with all his might to prevent her marriage with a dubious scallywag.
In addition, he is exposed to the pushy advances of an exalted opera diva, who confuses him with her former singing partner Enrico Colzani, whom he actually looks amazingly similar to. As if that wasn't enough, Henry still has to repair the broken relationship with his daughter and help her with the difficult divorce from her unfaithful husband.

Errors and confusion are pre-programmed in this turbulent comedy and promise a surprising, furious finale.
