©Andreas Pein Fred Breinersdorfer, born in 1946, is an award-winning author. After studying law and sociology in Mainz and Tübingen, he started practising as an attorney at law in Stuttgart. He wrote his first crime novel in 1980, His credits include 12 novels, short stories, stage and radio plays, and movies and TV movies. Fred was awarded the "German Film Award", the "Adolph Grimme Preis mit Gold" and was nominated for several other awards. He was a writer and co-producer for "Sophie Scholl: The Final Days", a movie which was nominated for the 2006 Academy Award (Foreign Language Film). The author lives in Berlin.
