Katharina Tanner was born in Schaffhausen (Switzerland) in 1962. She trained as a book seller before attending acting school in Berlin. She writes stage and radio plays and narrative literature. She received several awards, the
Lenz Price for New Drama of the City of Jena amongst them. She works as an author and in the promotion of reading skills for the City Library of Basel.
