Alice Muitoevoli Rugai studied foreign languages and literature at the University of Pisa and completed a master's degree in theatre studies at the FU in Berlin. Alice is currently part of the 17th class of scenic writing at the UDK. Humour, political reflection and occasional grammatical errors often stem from her experiences in the Theatre of the Oppressed and community theatre projects in Italy and Germany. Her current passions include topics such as bierasure (the invisibility of bisexuality), biodiversity and classism.
Staub: Verbrannte Monologe Verdammtes Kapital (Dust: Burnt Monologues Damned Capital) was performed at the DRAMA! Festival in Hamburg as a workshop production, followed by
Cembalo: a gemischte Orientierung Perioddrama at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin in January.
Hamsterrad is still running at Theater Strahl. The play premiered in February 2024 and has been included in the play pool of Kaas und Kappes, the Dutch-German children's and youth theatre festival. Alice has experience in production coordination and dramaturgy in Berlin's independent theatre scene.
