© Janine Guldener Lisa Sommerfeldt writes plays and radio plays. As a playwright, she sees herself as part of an extended ensemble, and her texts are created in close collaboration with dramaturgy and direction. She has written numerous commissioned works for theatre, including for the Cultural Foundation of the Landestheater Eisenach and Staatstheater Meiningen, the Theater Ulm, the Theater der Stadt Aalen, the Theater Altenburg Gera and the Bonn Opera. She has received several awards for her work, including a scholarship from the Rhineland-Palatinate Foundation for Culture at the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben in 2017, a scholarship for the 1:1 mentoring programme of the NRW Literaturbüros in 2018/19 and a scholarship from the Künstlerhof Schreyahn in 2019. In 2020, she received a working scholarship from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Lisa Sommerfeldt was also a scholarship holder at the Villa Decius in Krakow in 2021 and received an INITIAL special scholarship from the Academy of Arts. In 2022, her play

Radio plays by Lisa Sommerfeldt have been broadcast by Bayerischer Rundfunk, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, ORF and RAI Südtirol (Radiotelevisione Italiana). Her plays have been translated into Polish, English, French and Russian.
