Annette Raffalt, born in Hamminkeln, lives in Vienna as a freelance director, author and consultant. She directed at the Burgtheater, the Zurich Playhouse, the Bochum Playhouse, the Darmstadt State Theater and in the independent scene in Trier. Her productions are often pieces developed in close cooperation with dramaturges, actors and other authors. In addition to her work as a director, Annette Raffalt has built up and managed three youth theater divisions. Since as a theater maker she not only deals with the conflicts of literature, but is also confronted with conflicts that arise when theater professionals with different professions and interests work together on a project, she studied mediation and conflict management and also completed a coaching course. The knowledge about the development of conflicts not only forms the basis for her profession as a consultant, but is also her foundation as an author.
