Manfred Hausmann
Manfred Hausmann was born in Kassel in 1898. He went to school in Göttingen, became a soldier in the First World War, studied German language and literature and worked as a dramaturg, business man and journalist. Hausmann lived in the artists’ village of Worpswede from the late 1920s and then moved to Bremen in 1950 where he lived until his death in 1986. His works inluce poetry, novels, essays and stage plays.
